Because you cannot understand Stewart’s post-9/11 career, and the inner fire that burns all throughout his rise to America’s most trusted newssource till now without watching him being so miserable and vulnerable in front of millions of people.

Because this monologue is pure eloquence genius, on so many levels. It would only be fair that it will be spoken about and analyzed for generations. One of my generation’s few historical documents.

Because it was a promise for brighter days, a promise ultimately shred apart by jingoism and wars.

Because “do you know what the view is now?”
